Cd Player
Version 1.0

Thank you for trying out this Cd Player script. It's purpose is to demonstrate the usage of the Visual DialogScript @mci() function. This is a fully functional cd player app. Does not require any additional dlls to operate. Will run from the IDE or compile the script AS IS.

The script was written in Visual DialogScript 4.5, but it should work with any Visual DialogScript version with the @mci() function.

Three undocumented features in the Help file. 1) Repeat Cd. 2) Repeat Track. 3) Task Icon added. To access these options, click on the repeat symbol located to the left of the little speaker (MUTE) and a small Options dialog will open. You can also access this dialog through the right click on the taskicon in the System Tray. When you minimize the Cd Player window, it is actually hidden, not even a button on the task bar. The only thing showing is the Cd Player icon in the task bar. If the player is playing a cd and the player is minimized, the tooltip for the task icon tells you the current track being played.

I have done some research on othe MCI commands and have documented commands for digital video commands. If you would like a copy of these commands, send me an email with a request for the commands and I can either give you a place to download the file from or I can send it along with a return email as an attachment. I will also include in the download a script for a program that I designed to assist me in testing the MCI commands. It is rather time consuming to search for and test these commands. However, if I get enough requests, I'll continue and expand this small library of MCI commands to encompass every element that MCI can have an effect on. You'll be able to add these files to what you'd already have and expand the usage of the script.
